Stock Emotions is an online project based around ideas of mediated social interaction and appropriation in the age of the Internet. Presenting relative strangers with stock footage depicting various emotions, the artist requests that the footage be reinterpreted and returned to be included in an ever-expanding library of human emotion. 'Stock Emotions' playfully explores human nature, throwing caution to the wind to discover what happens when you toss something into the pulsating vortex of cyber-collaboration.
   Xanthe acknowledges the traditional owners of the land on which their work is made, the Widjabul/Wyabul people of the Bundjalung Nation, the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation, and the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation. They pay their respects to elders, past, present, and emerging.  Sovereignty was never ceded. Always was, always will be Aboriginal land.
